What is an Empowerment Coach? Well for me it’s about helping people achieve a life that brings them happiness, contentment and peace.

You see life does not always go to plan. Sometimes we are faced with challenges in life that if not dealt with correctly can cause you stress, anxiety and/or depression. This will show itself as either mental or physical symptoms within the body or even both.

You may have read or heard the recent media coverage about Mental Health, stress, anxiety, depression and how it affects people in their day-to-day lives. People are now becoming more aware that they may be actually living a life, which isn’t emotionally designed for them.

Jersey is an amazing and beautiful place to live but for some people there is a ‘cost’ to living here.  Did you know that one in three Jersey residents are dealing with high anxiety/stress levels compared to one in five in the UK.  Mental Health in Jersey in also on the rise, prescriptions for anti-depressants rose by a whopping 48% between 2010 and 2016.

I am experiencing a greater number of clients being referred to me, who need help in managing what is going on in their lives. The issues affecting them are varied but the main issues seem to be; working long hours, spending less time with their families, health issues, inequality, financial worries and they often cannot see a way out.

But did you know that we can also carry around a certain amount of nurtured characteristics from our childhood. What we have understood and interpreted as a child can have a profound effect on us as adults. These perceptions gained in childhood can either be empowering and strengthening or self-sabotaging and damaging.  This can influence any chance you have of achieving the life you truly want.

As an Empowerment Coach it is my job to help you achieve a sense of priority, to enable you to gain a balance in your life.  I do this by using my experience, and by helping you see, from a different perspective, what needs to be changed in order for you to achieve the balanced lifestyle you want.

We shouldn’t be afraid to talk about our needs because change can be a positive transition in life.
